I am plant based, high in fresh foods, with a starch base (Dr. John McDougall). I stay mostly on BLM land where there's a 14 day stay limit. I plan around that. Romain, tomatoes, cucumber, and avocado are good for 2-5 days at room temperatures. Of course pit fruits have their own schedule and I eat them when they are ripe. Instead of the various other options I've seen to manage the liquids, I sprinkle a teaspoon of Sodium Polyacrylate (diaper pellets) to absorb moisture, it doesn't require much. The Sodium Polyacrylate I have been using. After removing the plastic bag it is folded and rolled to fit in a doggy litter bag. Nobody takes notice of disposing of dog litter bags in any trash receptacle.
