Instead of the various other options I've seen to manage the liquids, I sprinkle a teaspoon of Sodium Polyacrylate (diaper pellets) to absorb moisture, it doesn't require much.
Stainless steel doesn't absorb or allow odors to escape. The lid is held in place with two short bungee cords.
After removing the plastic bag it is folded and rolled to fit in a doggy litter bag. Nobody takes notice of disposing of dog litter bags in any trash receptacle.
Then it is stored in a stainless steel stock pot in the shade under the vehicle.
Trash day the accumulated poo bags are transferred to the trash bag for disposal.
